Game Sound Designer


As a Game Sound Designer at Spinomenal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the auditory landscape of our games. This is a full-time (Not freelance), hybrid position based out of our office in Bnei Brak. You’ll be entrusted with the creation, editing, and implementation of audio components to enrich our specialized game sound libraries. Working in synergy with our creative R&D team, you will contribute to crafting an immersive audio experience that perfectly complements the game’s visuals and gameplay.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and Implement Audio Assets: Utilize pre-existing audio libraries to develop top-quality audio assets that align with the game’s aesthetic and mood. This is not a composition role; strong editing skills are required.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work in close coordination with game designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of audio into the game.
  • Sound Preparation and Management: Organize and prepare the sounds for game developers, while also managing audio budget and performance considerations.
  • Quality Assurance and Bug Fixing: Address and resolve bugs related to audio, and review the game’s audio to offer constructive feedback for quality improvement.
  • Audio Direction: Define and uphold the project’s audio direction on both creative and technical levels, ensuring world-class audio quality is met.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Build the sound department within the game designers and have a passion for continually improving the game audio engine. Work with audio programmers on new features and fixes.
  • Technical and Creative Leadership: Advocate for game audio technology that best enables the team to create world-class audio experiences.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work in partnership with project leadership to ensure a shared vision across all aspects of the game’s production, development, and creative direction.
  • Alignment with Gameplay and Narrative Goals: Work closely with game designers, programmers, and Product team members to ensure that audio systems align with gameplay and narrative objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sound engineering, specifically within the iGaming industry.
  • Familiarity with audio hardware and sound engineering best practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools & sound libraries.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • A creative approach to sound design with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and high technical proficiency.
  • Portfolio showcasing your sound work (preferably in video format).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
